I came back to Qatar this year in April, after an absence of 4 months. But unfortunately everything changed, people, the place itself (in the idea that is not much changed - still looks like a construction site)...My friends left one by one as their contracts here finished, or they simply got fed up with Qatar.... I still love the place, as it is extremely safe and quiet. I like also crowds and bog cities, but I prefer at the end of the day to sleep in peace :) Still, if you are alone here, life can turn somewhat dramatically, because you will find there is not much to do. I am an extremely friendly and social person, but believe me, it was almost impossible to make new friends here... Seems like there are "closed" groups, with people who can not cross beyong their prejudice and sick mentality or considering others not worthy just because they do not have an american or british passport.... I will go for vacation in April (yupeeee!!!!) and we will see what the next year will bring.....
